How to make TP Link tl-wn823n wifi dongle work on Kubuntu?

I followed the instructions here and then noticed that there are more steps to be done than mere running the bash. Next, we can follow from step 6 onwards. I followed all the steps and I can confirm it worked on Kubuntu 20.04.
